C.A.M.P. (Children's Association for Maximum Potential)
CAMP is located in Center Point, Texas. It serves ages 5-21 years old. The camp specializes in
taking children not accepted by other camps. Individuals with medical disabilities, mental
retardation, autism, orthopedic impairments, or chronic illnesses, siblings and other interested
children. 6 one week sessions; beginning in June and ending the last week in July. Activities:
archery, canoeing, crafts, field sports, horseback riding, riflery, swimming. No restrictions.

Special Olympics Texas
Special Olympics contributes to the physical, social and psychological development of people with
mental retardation. Through their competition and training experiences, the athletes gain confidence
and build self-esteem which goes with them into their homes, classrooms, jobs, and communities.
Persons eligible: 8 years or older, have been identified by an agency or professional as having mental
retardation (intellectual disability, mental handicap, developmental disability, mental impairment).

Star Ranch Summer Camp
Star Ranch is similar to other camps in the fact that we teach Christian values, and offer many other
fun activities. The similarities end there. Star Ranch is geared specifically to deal with children with
MULTIPLE learning disabilities. Our focus is on building self-confidence, experience, and independence
children. Important aspects or our program include the following: win-win philosophy, 1:3 counselor to
camper ratio, small camp, structured activities, education program, positive reinforcement, modern
facility, social skills and manners, well trained staff, and Christian commitment. Ages served: 7-18
