No Support Meeting for July 2009 administrator,Saturday May 23 2009 - 06:30PM // There will no be a support meeting for July 2009. Instead we'd like to see everybody at the ASSET picnic July 11th at Tugboat Island Park in Port Neches. In order for us to better plan for the picnic we would like to get a head count. No cutoffs allowed. 1:30PM Shotgun $60 a player (Includes one golf cart per team, two links and beverage/player, info-sheet, scorecard, and goodie bag) Two Man Scramble Extras-Unlimited Mulligans - $5/each Driving Range - $3/bucket 1st place: $250 2nd place: $150 Last place: $100 Registration Deadline: August 15, 2009 - Registration and Sponsorship details are available under 'Downloads' - October 17, 2009 ASSET's 1st Annual Seminar ASSET will host its first ever seminar on Autism on October 17, 2009. Kathy Morris, founder of I give U Wings, will be the Keynote speaker at this event. Her son Guy Morris will also teach a class on Sibling Perspectives. This will be an all day event with lunch included. There will be 3 different breakout sessions with 5 choices at each session. Summer's Upcoming Events administrator,Wednesday June 03 2009 - 05:56PM // On July 11th at 4PM we will meet at Pt Neches Park (Sprinkler Park/ Tugboat Island) to have our first potluck picnic. Both areas are fenced in. Please come join us for a good outing where our kids can play together and the adults can have our own social time outside of our meetings. ASSET will provide hotdogs we ask for members to bring food item to share. Contact Susan for details. ASSET's annual Moody Gardens trip is set for July 18, 2009 10AM to close. The due date to RSVP is July 15. ASSET will pay for the child with Autism and an accompanying adult. Additional tickets can be purchased at discounted price. We would like to know who is going and have payment for additional tickets (if possible) by July 15. If you would like to go please let us know as soon as you can. On July 25th we will have an outing at the Healing Hoof Therapeutic Riding Center in Evadale. Therapy classes by appt. and activities will be set up all day for our kids. Contact the chapter to attend. On August 1st 10:00am-10:00pm Adventure Kingdom in Lumberton will be offering $15 Unlimited Play Wristbands for Mini-Golf, Bumper Cars & Swan Paddle Boats! Adventure Kingdom will donate 50% of sales to Autism Society SE Texas. Wristbands are $15 before August 1st and $18 the day of the event. Buy early and save $3. Say "I'm playing for Autism" at the cash register! On August 22nd we will have a social outing at a longhorn ranch, Gentz Cattle Company, in Winnie. |
